Peer networking

Sharing experiences with other organisations can be a powerful source of support. Here are several opportunities for organisations across England to participate in peer learning discussions on strategy. All are free to join.

The Third Sector Foresight network features a number of online forum discussions on strategy formation and tips on useful tools.

The NCVO websitehas a range of online discussion forums and interest groups which touch or focus exclusively on the strategy topic.

The Centre for Charity Effectiveness website KnowHow NonProfit has an online forum called ‘The CafĂ©’, providing opportunities to chat with colleagues about strategy and other topics over a virtual cappuccino.

Local or specialist networks

Your local Council for Voluntary Services or specialist umbrella body may run peer learning networks providing an opportunity to share experiences of strategy formation.
